A possible reason "Enable JavaScript Debugging" makes it work

Often, debuggers cause asynchronous/parallel code to run synchronously. It's possible you have a heisenbug in your code. That is, a bug that only appears when running in release.

Then again, maybe it's more complicated than that. Anyways, thanks for the great plugin!

Geolayers Animation not Working

Hi Guys,

I have just bought the geolayers plugin for Adobe After Affects and am trying to make an animated route. How to do it is explained in this video: image

However when I do exactly as the video says it still doesn't work.

If possible could someone please explain how or refer me on to another more detailed video because the other one is quite hard to understand due to its speed.

Where can I find a product to automate 2D character animation?

Look at this for example.

I want to take a podcast and create a series of animations from it. But I need a tool to help automate the process.

I would like something where I can keyframe in a persons laugh (after I create it of course) and then keyframe in some random listening and moving about, then keyframe a shock animation, etc etc.

Are there any tools that can help with this? DUIK and rubber hose are only for movements, not automating like I need to.

It's apparrently due to the new AE version, old version were super smooth and quick to render, but this is painful, any solutions?

Hi all,
I'm working in a NEWS broadcast station. This is what I need, a script or plug-in or something that allows to have a PSD file imported in AE in a way that when I modify, change the PSD file automatically update the comp in AE. In other words lets call the PSD file BACK that in some cases will be use for a Police news in AE but if there is a Weather news and a change the BACK to have a weather related image, the comp in AE will be updated. Make sense?

Plexus issue. Beginner question.

So I've just recently gotten plexus, and when I set up a basic path, nothing shows up.
I've created a black solid, and used plexus as an effect on the solid. All I do is select the path option, grab the star mask (as shown in the tutorial) and create a mask. The problem is here, unlike in the video where he has the plexus actually show up inside the mask, it does not show up for me. I'm just creating a normal mask as if plexus wasn't even there.
I've check my ram allocation for the openGL and it's at 400 mb. I've looked pretty hard for an solution and I just can't seem to find one.

Can I change something after I have rendered in Newton 2?

So when I render my composition in Newton 2 what happens is that Newton 2 closes and a separate composition is made. What if I want to change or edit something again in the composition. Cant I go back in Newton 2 and edit things? Is there no going back? I had to delete the composition 3 times because it didnt came off the way I wanted and then there's no option to go back to Newton and make some changes. Please help.

Cutting Gaps Between Verses

Hi

I am very new to after effects and Type Monkey.

I am creating a lyric video for my band. I have inputted all the lyrics and synced the words up manually to the lyrics in the song.

The lyrics however remain on the screen during the musical parts, where there are no words. I just want to fade them out, or even better, cut them. 

I have tried to drag the Dip To Black onto the individual word, and that hasn't worked. Does anybody have any ideas as how to help me.

I'm new to this forum as well, so if anyone could email me a solution, that would be much appreciated. adamstevens19@hotmail.co.uk

Select all keyframes in current time?

Hi,

is there a way to easily select keyframes from all layers at the current time? Look at the picture. I need to select Pos/Sca keyframes from all 500 layers. Scrolling and hand-selecting takes a TON of time and patience. Any easier way to do this?

What I need to do in this particular case is to copy and paste these to the next keyframe, replacing it. I can do that with Motion 2's Clone command, but there's no easy way to SELECT those pesky keyframes.

Plexus 3 installation / Os Prompt -> Nothing happens

Hi, after i paste my license code into the box OS (10.11.6) asks me for the admin pw... whne i type it in, nothing happens - the installation does not complete. i tried several restarts... any ideas? thanks

App Manager won't update all my licensed products

After upgrading to AE CC 2015.3 I'm using the App Manager to update my scripts but it won't update Ease and Wizz (from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2) or Create 3D Shapes (from 3.5 to 3.7) for some reason. 

Also NO compatible app icons are shown at the bottom left where the Application Filters are supposed to be located. I have AE CC 2015.3 and AE 2014 installed.  Two older scripts (Pre-compose and Reflect) can't be installed either because "no compatible applications can be found"

Adobe After Effect start up scripts using aerender

Firstly, thank everyone for viewing this question.

My question is, can we ceate an Adobe After Effect project (*.aep) in a way that it can run a script on startup if it is called from aerender.exe.

In short, the flow is :

1) calling aerender.exe, passing parameters to specify output video (as flv)

2) when the project is opened by aerender.exe, it must run a script from a *.jsx file FIRST 

3) after the script is complete, we move to the render stage.

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to make after effects render preview a work area via script, like pressing "0" or "space", as far as we have gone through the manual, it looks like this hasn't been included or there hasn't been a need for it.

I'm looking to contract an experience AEscript developer to help automate some steps in my studio's production pipeline.
The task has to do with automating certain fairly simple changes such as adding layers, replacing footage items. changing parameters of layers and effects. In order to batch apply those changes to large numbers of AEP projects (hundreds) 

In my understanding it's fairly simple script . but we need it created fast and to be robust.

control multiple keyframes in root and nested comps. For example, if i have several layers that I am transforming and even using a liquify effect to, as well as keyframes in nested comps that correspond to specific states, I would like an easier way to sync these states other than manually pasting the keyframes. I purchased 'Paste Multiple Keyframes 2', which doesn't deal with subcomps or liquify and other complicated keyframes. 

Is there anything out there that can simplify this process?
