I am looking for a way to batch replace comps with the proxies I rendered for them. So that all places where the comps were used then use the render movie. To clean up the project. Does a script like this exist, is it possible? Thank you

AE script to auto-remove underscore and replace with a period when exporting image sequences
Is there a script out there that can help me automate the removal of the underscore that appears before the image sequence numbers and replacing the underscore with a period?
For example: Changing "filename_[XXX].png" to "filename.[XXX].png"
Currently I'm setting multiple image sequence renders and I'm changing each underscore to a period "by hand" one at a time.
Any ideas or help on how to streamline this would be greatly appreciated.

automated split and mask

i'm new to scripts in after effects and id like to get an advice which plug-in - if any- could help me to automate a splitting and masking process.
I have a stop motion like filmed footage and would like to do two things with it:
1. automate a footage splitting process so each 'location' would be on a new layer ( and align these layers )
2. 'dynamic' mask each layer using a key color: turn a pixel color select to a vector mask shape
See image attached as a reference, the disk will be replaced with moving elements and filmed at each position.

I make weatheranimations with After effects everyday and it costs me 20 minutes per day.
Now I'm searching for a way to automate this process.
After some research I found out it is possible to collect data from a weatherwebsite,
because it is ordered in div, ul, li classes and id's.
So my question: What script do I need and how do I write one to collect the websitesdata and
insert it in the layers of the After effects composition?

If I move from CS6 license to Cloud
I have (and may continue to) resisted the cloud for 2 years, relying on CS6 Master Suite.
If I were to purchase the cloud I would have a completely different AE license (at least I think that's how it would work). I know I'd have to install and serialize all my AE Scripts (I have a bunch!), but my question is this: my license would be valid and would work, right?

Problems exporting using Construction plugin
I created an animation using the Construction 3d plugin. When I try to export the composition, the dimensions gets all confused and composition seems to flatten out. The instructions say to build it in "fast draft" mode, but when I try to switch to final resolution, I get the same problem. Can anyone help?

Access Denied. Error at line 1.
I installed per the instructions, when trying to license, I made sure that the checkbox in the AE preferences is checked for scripts to write. I have also made sure that there is an Allow rule set on my Firewall. But I am getting an error stating:
After Effects warning: ERROR: Access is denied.
If I click Ok (the only option), I get:
Unable to execute script at line 1. undefined is not an object.

Simple Expression Problem Unsolvable

Here I come with an apparently simple problem of syntax, and as I am a noobie in expressions and script, maybe you're gonna find it incredibly simple ! That's exactly what I'm waiting for since Sunday evening é_è.
Here is the thing :
I have two values :
"A" for example is a soundkeys plugin that goes randomly between 1 and 100 according to the music.
"B" is the Z axe of my camera that goes everytime straight on, so that gives a 0 on frame 1 increasing to 90000 till frame 2500 for example.
I would love to succed making a camera, that goes more fast when the soundkeys ("A") is strong (50-100).
So you would tell me to simply add "A" and "B".
This solution works but makes my camera goes back when the soundkeys is weak (0-10) after a peak at 100.
What I'm looking for is a way to exclusively add "A" that is my soundkeys to "B" that is the Z axe, to have a B value that's never decreasing.
I let u a simple scheme to let you see !
I hope you guys give me the solution, that would save my day for sure...

Experience with RenderQueueItem getSetting, setSetting methods
Hi everyone!
I am trying to write a script that automatically sets the path and settings of a renderQueue item.
I found that the methods exist via here - http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2014/04/new-changed-after-effects-cc-2014.html
But can't manage to use them or even test the examples shown on the site, does anyone have any experience using these methods?

Tile problems
I've been having a problem using the staman custom map. After I build my map with all of my movements, I go to finalize and I get sections of the map that are black. I clear the cache and re-finalize, but it is still there.
Is is a problem with the stamina map source or with Geo-layers and how do resolve this?

Just trying to find out if Voronoi Shatter works on Yosemite V10.10 in Adobe CC2015 After Effects? The product page says "Not currently able to work with Java 8". Not sure if that means it won't work in the above OS and software.
Would anyone know?

searching thru the .aep project directly in windows
Is there any way you can make a keyword search into your computer for an element, but this search to be made inside of all available AE templates?
I mean, Is there any soft/script you can use to search for a word directly in all my available .aep templates, without needing to import them all into the After Effects?
Makes sens my question?
I have about xx templates, all with icons an a lot of elements, and the only way to find the animated "brain" (for example) into a template is to import all the .aep into AE and make a search there, or to open each template one after another to make a single search for a work to find out in which template is that animated "brain"....

import AI sub layers script
Hi folks.
Does anyone know of a script that will import AI top layers and sub layers into AE?
We have a good 100 layers in our AI files and use the export png script but we have to have sub layers, which are prefixed with # and~
If we could have a script to import AI file and all its sub layers we then dont have to go through and adjust all the layers.
We may get someone to build a script for us.

After Effects Multiple instances hangs when rendering using PHP and Command Line
I am trying to render video from Adobe After Effects using PHP through command line. When i try to render video from After effects render Queue, i can see in Task Manager that all CPU cores are using. i have following PHP script which takes AE template file and render video.

When i execute this PHP file from command line like
php /path/to/above_script_file.php
its working fine too. All CPU cores are using and video is rendering.
**BUT** when i execute same script from browser using WAMP server, rendering starts, all instances get starts but suddenly close and 1 or sometimes 2 After effects instances are running but in hanged position. No memory or CPU is changing.
These are my After Effects preferences
**UPDATE:**
When i am trying to render using below command
aerender -project /path/ -comp Final -mp -output out.mov
its working and using multiprocessing. but when trying to render from web app it show below error message in log file
There is an error in background rendering so switching to foreground rendering after 0 frames completed out of total 601 frames.
Message interpretation:
The multiprocessing feature was unable to use all instances beyond a certain point in the rendering process. This is an error that only shows in the render log file.
